Glowworm Privacy Policy

Shed Labs, LLC ("Shed Labs," "we," "us," or "our") provides Glowworm, a tvOS app that helps you create a personalized live-style guide from media available through your Plex account. This policy explains the information Glowworm processes and why.
Information we process
- Plex account and connection information. When you connect Plex, we process a Plex authorization token, a stable account identifier, available Plex servers and libraries, and the server and libraries you select. Account identifiers are hashed before they are used as account keys in our database.
- Guide and channel information. We store your channel names, rules, selected media, guide configuration, and related preferences so your lineup can sync across your Apple TVs.
- Subscription information. If you subscribe to Glowworm Plus, we receive signed transaction data from Apple and store the product identifier, original transaction identifier, subscription expiration, revocation status, and App Store environment. Apple processes your payment information; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Technical information. We process a randomly generated device identifier, request metadata, and limited operational logs needed to authenticate requests, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
How we use information
We use this information to connect Glowworm to Plex, build and synchronize your guide, deliver playback connection details, enforce the free-channel allowance, verify and restore subscriptions, provide support, secure the service, and diagnose operational problems.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party behavioral advertising. We share information only as needed with service providers that operate Glowworm, including Plex for account linking and media access, Apple for App Store purchases, Supabase for database hosting, and Render for backend hosting. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users, the service, or our legal rights.
Retention and security
We retain account, guide, and subscription records while needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. Plex tokens are kept server-side and on your Apple TV using system-provided secure storage. We use encrypted network connections and restrict database access, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may disconnect Plex in Glowworm and manage or cancel Glowworm Plus through your Apple Account. To request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your account, email nick@shedlabs.studio. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
Children
Glowworm is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as Glowworm changes. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date when changes are material.
